Landscape Concept, Landscape Assessment, Plan Change

Brookvale Retirement Community is a proposed retirement village located on the northern boundary of Havelock North’s residential area adjacent to Brookvale and the new Arataki development area.

Hudson Associates were responsible for the overall layout, roading pattern, site design and preparation of the landscape concept including planting design and open spaces planning.

Hudson Associates also prepared a comprehensive Assessment of Landscape and Visual Effects as a part of the planning application. The application received a positive recommendation from the reporting planner, but was declined by the Council Hearings Committee. It has been appealed to the Environment Court.
