Location: Havelock North, Hawke's Bay
Client: Te Aute Holdings
Te Aute Holdings was applying to the Hastings District Council for a Plan Change to rezone from Plains to General Residential on the western outskirts of Havelock North in an area of land bounded by Te Aute Road and the Karamu Stream, known as the Te Aute Road New Development Area.
Hudson Associates was engaged by Te Aute Holdings to undertake Landscape Evidence for the proposal of this plan change. The Evidence evaluates the current settlement and landscape patterns, and the urban forms in relation to the HUDS (Hastings Urban Development Strategy). Also this is an analysis of how the outcomes of the development can be achieved through application of LIUDD and CPTED principles in the stormwater, roading and amenity section.
